George King

Renewable Energy & Land Resources

George has worked in the energy sector for 35 years, starting in oil and gas exploration, production and related segments of hydrocarbon processing. Since 1985, George’s career is focused on efficient power distribution, energy management and renewable energy applications for large scale residential and commercial land development. George drafted the legislation for New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson to allow cogeneration on private lands and was signed into law in March 2007. George was Director of the prestigious Houston Advanced Research Center focusing on clean and renewable energy and has worked for Mitchell Energy and Development, Stone and Webster Engineering, Houston Light and Power, Reliant Energy, and CenterPoint Energy. 


George’s recent accomplishments include completing design and testing of a 150KW wind turbine project in Houston, completing two 6500’ exploratory water wells in Albuquerque and designing an integrated solar, wind and bio remediation energy system for a private land development company.
